Answers to common questions about how the platform works, what it supports, and how security is maintained.

Wallet Basics

A non-custodial wallet is one where you, the user, hold the private keys to your wallet addresses. The wallet software helps you generate and manage those keys, but it does not store or transmit them to any server. This means only you can authorize transactions. The wallet provider has no ability to access, freeze, or move your funds.

This contrasts with custodial wallets, where a company holds the keys on your behalf. Custodial services are more like a bank account, where you trust the institution to manage access to your funds. Non-custodial wallets put control entirely in the hands of the user.

A seed phrase (also called a recovery phrase or mnemonic) is a sequence of 12 or 24 words generated when you create a new wallet. This phrase is a human-readable encoding of your master private key. Anyone who has your seed phrase can derive all of your wallet's private keys and access all associated funds.

The seed phrase is shown to you once during wallet setup. It is never transmitted to any server. You are responsible for storing it securely. If you lose your seed phrase and your device is lost or damaged, there is no recovery mechanism. If someone else obtains your seed phrase, they have full access to your wallet.

Yes. The platform supports multiple wallets within a single application. You can create new wallets, import existing wallets using their seed phrases or private keys, and switch between wallets within the interface. Each wallet maintains its own independent set of keys and addresses across all supported blockchain networks.

Yes. The platform is compatible with popular hardware wallet devices. When connected, transaction signing is handled by the hardware device rather than the software wallet. This means private keys are stored on a dedicated offline device and are never exposed to the networked app environment.

Security

No. Private keys are generated on your device and stored locally in encrypted form. They are never transmitted to Tokenpocket Inc servers or any third-party server. The encryption of locally stored key data requires your passcode or biometric authentication to access.

If you have your seed phrase stored securely, you can restore your wallet on any new device by importing the seed phrase. The wallet will regenerate all addresses and keys from the seed phrase and reconnect to the blockchain networks to display your balances.

If you do not have your seed phrase, the wallet cannot be recovered. This is a fundamental property of non-custodial design. There is no "forgot password" recovery for non-custodial wallets because no central authority holds your keys.

The DApp browser includes domain verification and displays clear warnings when connecting to DApps. Transaction requests from DApps show full transaction details including the contract address being called. Users should independently verify contract addresses and DApp URLs before signing any transaction.

The platform will never ask for your seed phrase through any in-app interface, notification, or communication. Any request for your seed phrase through any channel other than the wallet's own import function should be treated as a phishing attempt.

Networks and Tokens

The platform supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain (BSC), Solana, Polygon, Avalanche, TRON, Arbitrum, Optimism, Fantom, and many additional networks. The list of supported networks continues to expand as new blockchain ecosystems develop and gain adoption. The full current list of supported networks is available within the application.

Yes. For EVM-compatible networks like Ethereum and BNB Chain, you can add any token by entering its contract address. The wallet will then display the token balance and allow you to send and receive it. Exercise caution when adding custom tokens and verify contract addresses from official project sources.

Yes. The platform displays NFTs (non-fungible tokens) for supported networks including Ethereum (ERC-721, ERC-1155), Solana, and BNB Chain. NFT metadata and images are displayed within the wallet, and you can send NFTs to other addresses from within the interface.

Token Swap

The token swap aggregates liquidity from decentralized exchanges on the selected network. You enter the token you want to swap from, the token you want to receive, and the amount. The system finds available exchange routes and shows you the estimated output, price impact, and network fee. You review this information and confirm to proceed.

The swap transaction is constructed and signed locally, then broadcast to the blockchain. The DEX smart contract executes the exchange. The platform does not hold your tokens during the swap process.

Swap transactions involve two types of fees: the network gas fee (paid to blockchain validators for processing the transaction) and the DEX liquidity provider fee (a percentage taken by the liquidity pool as compensation to liquidity providers). Both are displayed before you confirm the swap. Gas fees vary based on network congestion at the time of the transaction.

Cross-Chain Bridge

A swap exchanges one token for a different token on the same blockchain network. For example, swapping ETH for USDC on Ethereum. A bridge moves an asset from one blockchain network to a different blockchain network. For example, moving USDC from Ethereum to BNB Chain. Both operations are available within the platform.

Bridge transaction times vary significantly depending on the bridge protocol used and the networks involved. Some bridges complete transfers in a few minutes, while others may take 15 minutes to several hours depending on confirmation requirements and the bridge architecture. The estimated transfer time is displayed before you confirm a bridge transaction.

DApp Browser

No. The integrated DApp browser provides a Web3-enabled environment within the app. You can navigate to DApp URLs directly and connect your wallet without installing any browser extension. On desktop, you can also use WalletConnect to link your mobile wallet to desktop browser DApps by scanning a QR code.

When a DApp requests a wallet connection, a prompt appears showing the DApp's domain and what it is requesting. You choose which wallet address to connect and approve or reject the request. Connecting a wallet to a DApp does not grant the DApp any ability to move your funds. It only allows the DApp to read your address and propose transactions for your review and signature.
